Gerard Brophy is the inspiration and impetus behind The Silk Road and Beyond Tours. He is also a renowned Australian composer with an illustrious career spanning over 40 years. He is in great local and international demand and has been commissioned and performed by the world's most prestigious orchestras, ballet/dance companies and ensembles. His upcoming premieres include at the Sydney Opera House, with the Dutch Radio Philharmonic Orchestra and at Cambridge University. As a consequence his creative pursuits have taken him to every corner of the globe. During these travels, he has developed and nurtured an intense fascination with the Caucasus, Central Asia and the Middle East and a deep understanding of the cultural nuances and workings of these areas. His enduring passion is to share his enchantment of these wonderful, magical and so far, unspoilt places, with like-minded fellow explorers in bespoke, carefully curated travel experiences.
